Inspiring Instagrams that I Follow #001

These days, Instagram seems to have successfully replaced 9GAG for me.  I only follow accounts that I like (either the contents are interesting OR that they’re my real friends…lol).  I want to stay sincere and just “like” what I like (and secretly hope that people who follow me genuinely like my content too, unless they’re my real friends who got stuck with following my account due to friendship…then be prepared to be spammed XD ). ^^  *le sigh* my Instagram account is just as much of a big mixing pot as this blog. ^^”

Anyways, enough blahs.  Just want to bring some more attention to the following Instagram accounts that I find particularly inspiring or just has that special X factor (that’s not to say the rest of the other accounts I follow are not awesome…in fact, they’re all awesome and interesting!).  Not in any particular order:

Wubby Panda by wubbyland

Cute illustrations of an adorable Panda named Wubby Panda!  I hope that the creator will sell Wubby Panda merchandise someday!  The artwork is just amazingly cute and realistic (especially the food).  The food-related posts are some of the most deliciously looking 2D drawings that I’ve seen so far.

Little Yellow Bird by tweetykweelapis

Look! It’s Tweety bird! XD Looking at the world from the perspective of Tweety the plush toy. This is a fun and creative project. It especially helps to make those nasty “Monday blues” go away.  ^^

Veganmatoria by veganmatoria

Follow this account and be prepared to be inspired by this awesome young vegan lady!  She has tons of yummy vegan recipes and great at inspiring people to work out, change our lives for the positive, and being comfortable in our own skin.  I’m forever in love with her deliciously looking berry nice cream.  That’s right, it’s “nice cream”, not “ice cream”.

Anyways, have fun following them!  ^^

Hope for Paws

Thanks to my very compassionate brother who showed me the Hope for Paws Youtube channel, I became rather hooked on these videos.  Then, I couldn’t help myself and donated.  Of course, still an LSAT snob/job-hunter, there’s only so much I can donate without being called out by others as reckless.  Fortunately, I have this blog where I can write pretty much whatever the hell I want and so, I decided to dedicate this post to Hope for Paws.  If any of the Hope for Paws videos has successfully called out your compassion and it’s within your ability to donate, please do.  Otherwise, please do not hesitate to share any of the Hope for Paws videos via social media.  This would not only help raise awareness at large, but also serve as a reminder for current dog owners (& pet owners in general) to continue to be responsible and see these beautiful creatures as family members.

Dreams from My Childhood

While doing a big clean up today, I have found a “scroll” from my teenage years.  Based on the content of the scroll, I think it’s safe to say it was my fifteen years old self who wrote this list of “My Dreams”.

Apparently, I was supposed to open this scroll on January 9, 2014...Well, I'm about a year and couple of months late.

For the Love of Puzzles

Making an “Outer Space” category seems to be a blessing and a curse so far.  It is a curse because it prompts me to cross over to the realm of randomness too easily; it is a blessing because it prompts me to cross over to the realm of randomness so easily.

Anyways, I like puzzles…because life is essentially like making puzzles; there are struggles, but there are also rewards.  At the end of the day, no matter how one starts out a puzzle game, she would eventually get to see the full beauty of the end product just as long as she doesn’t give up.

My first 3D metal puzzle that got me hooked to the world of 3D metal puzzle completely.

Willingness to Compromise…the Chinese Way

On nights that I could not sleep well, I would do one of the followings: eat a big bowl of spicy noodle (frequent), read a book (sometimes), or practice Chinese calligraphy (just started this strange habit recently).

捨得 (Shědé) is a bit of philosophical concept. The rough translation is "willingness to compromise". However, the actual meaning is deeper than that. Though, it pretty much means "learning to let go in order to accept more." Profound philosophy with just two simple characters.

On sleepless nights, if I choose to practice Chinese calligraphy, I particularly like to write the word 捨得 (Shědé) over and over again until the meaning is somehow embedded within me.  Like a romance that I know could not exist because clapping with just one hand does not make a sound.  By letting go (捨 – Shě) such an unfruitful illusion that both parties are meant for each other, then it would be possible for all parties to gain (得 – Dé) more lovely and precious experiences someday.

Heh. I’m still learning despite the big talk.

MILD – A Thai Music Group that makes My Heart Flutter

Most of the time, I listen to random music of a specific genre on YouTube based on my writing need (ie. am I writing a dramatic story, a romcom, or slice-of-life story?).  Once in a while, I would get introduced to a musician or music group that by the time I finished writing, I realized that I could not let go of that particular musician or music group.

MILD is one of those music groups that I simply cannot turn my back on after I’ve heard their music once.  There musical style is a mix of jazz and R&B.  Overall, there is an easy-going quality to their musical style.

1) The song that totally made my heart fluttered and motivated me to research more on this band despite not knowing the language.  This song is titled “Nemesis”, solely based on Google translate. XD  Hm…when I listened to this song initially, I didn’t realize it was about the effects of cheating.

a) This was the version that caught my attention.
